Buzzin Fly. w/ Ewan Pearson. Was On Saturday, September 25th. @ Cable London, 33A Bermondsey Street, London, SE1, 10pm - 6am

EWAN PEARSON AND DISKJOKKE JOIN BEN WATT'S BUZZIN' FLY AS THE LABEL DROPS ITS LATEST SEASONAL LONDON PARTY AT CABLE ON SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 25

Tickets - http://bit.ly/dC7sw5

With its intimate August date at the newly refurbished Plastic People long sold out, Ben Watt's Buzzin' Fly announces another of their popular bigger seasonal parties to soak up the London spill - the Buzzin' Fly Autumn Party at Cable on Sat Sep 25. It promises ...to be a step-up from the sweatbox basement vibe, spanning - as did their Summer Party at the same venue - two rooms with a broad-based killer line-up.

This time, honourary fly Ewan Pearson will headline the main room. Now a resident of Berlin, Ewan has become one of the leading producer-remixers and DJs that the UK has produced in recent years. Seminal remixes for artists such as Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp and Cortney Tidwell have been followed by sparkling production credits for artists such as Tracey Thorn, Delphic, and Flowers and Sea Creatures. His recent mix CD for Kompakt ('We Are Proud Of Our Choices') was a highlight of the year, and his powerful DJ sets remain true to the eclectic disco-techno, Italo and raw house roots that first attracted the attention of Soma, his very first label back in the mid nineties. He is supported in the main room by Buzzin' Fly head honcho Ben Watt (recently nominated at Best Deep House DJ at the international DJ Awards 2010 in Ibiza), and longtime sidekick Chris Woodward.

In the second room, the headline set is taken by new Norwegian nu disco sensation, diskJokke. The latest star to emerge in the wake of Lindstrom and Prins Thomas from the Oslo electronica scene, diskJokke (aka Joachim Dyrdahl) cut his teeth at the seminal Sunkissed parties. His remixes for artists such as The xx, Crystal Castles and Friendly Fires drew the plaudits, and he has just released his second studio album, 'En Fin Tid' ('Grooviliciously Scandinavian' / The Guardian). Expect an epic, hip-wiggling, cinematic disco sound. In support is young UK producer-DJ, Jay Shepheard. At the height of 'Minimal', he dropped two killer EPs of luscious deep disco-house on Compost Black Label and instantly made his name. Just back from six months in Berlin, he released his latest future-retro single 'Shelter' on Buzzin' Fly last month, following his acclaimed remix of Glimpse and Martin Eyerer's 'Southern Soul' for the label last summer. Expect a warm, rootsy, midtempo laptop set of original material mixed with raw classics.

High Society. w/ Losoul (Playhouse/Freak n'Chic). Was On Saturday, September 25th. @ Korsan, 161-165 Kingsland Road, London, E2 8AL, 9pm - 3am

Losoul (Playhouse/Freak n'Chic)
Tommi (Love International/Supercool)
Nic Liu (Love International/Supercool)
HARRY FINN (Blackhole)

High Society promises to deliver discerning line ups alongside quality music and visuals on the last Saturday of every month.

LoSoul is a member of a unique guild of producers that has always been blessed with its very own sound signature. In the course of his musical socialisation, Losoul came across a kaleidoscope of different styles: Techno and House blueprints, Funk and Soul of the seventies, prehistorical Hip Hop and of course a bit of Jazz for the mind. At first, he appeared under the guise Don Disco that he used in the early and blessed nineties as a part of the Superbleep-DJ-Team.
LoSoul. established a trademark for his port of registry Playhouse - Frankfurt’s then youthful, now legendary label for electronic music with class. Fuelled with his unparalleled ability to abstract the basics of dance music, tracks out of his forge blaze as typical Losoul grooves. Already one of his first and most famous pieces “Open Door” impressively exercises his practice of marathon jams that never go stale. But Losoul can also adjust to different techniques. For instance, when he respelled the words electronic pop music by means of a new alphabet in conjunction with the singer Malte, delivered his multi-layered as well as fascinating albums: “Belong” and “Getting Even”.

In the meantime, he played live (with or without Malte), carried his record bag through the clubs of this world (always on the knife’s edge between House and Techno at places like Panorama Bar and Robert-Johnson residency) and created remixes for the likes of Freaks, Blaze, Khan, Alter Ego, Jay Haze, International Pony, Lawrence or Ark and on labels as renowned as Classic, Kalk Pets, Moon Harbour, Circus Company, Logistic, Telegraph, Freak n’ Chic and Love International.

Tommi and Nic Liu hold residencies at numerous underground clubs in London and have recently been appearing at top London venues like Fabric, Cable and Egg as well as playing internationally in places like Portugal, Germany, Malaysia, Denmark and Singapore. They are releasing their debut ep on Love International in September which has already garnered support from artists on Wolf and Lamb, Cocoon, Bpitch and Upon You.

We also welcome newcomer to the scene Harry Finn who will be on warm up duties for the night = )

ROOM ONE:
Sasha
Craig Richards

ROOM TWO:
Terry Francis
DJ Sneak
Giom

ROOM THREE:
DEEP VIBES
Sascha Dive
Alix Alvarez

Ever since Sasha stepped up to the decks at the legendary Shelly’s in Stoke back in the late 80’s, the Welsh waxman has not been afraid to take risks. Throwing out resolute rhythms and stomping through the airwaves with remix packages for the likes of Madonna and The Chemical Brothers to Kasabian, Doves and Damian Lazarus today- he is an eclectic selector and has ‘dance music’ right in the palm of his hands.

Following a hugely successful tour in 2009 which saw him join the dots between 30 countires, playing over 100 shows- including a successful Ibiza residency at Cream Amnesia, his Room One performance at fabric this weekend is the stand-out out date for 2010 and his performance will be nothing short of revolutionary. Get ready for an intense high energy show that will have you holding on to your hat from the start as Sasha orbits our soundsystem and takes you on a cerebral, organic journey of music technology.

Over in Room Two, we are excited to welcome one of the main faces of the Chicago house scene, DJ Sneak who will be setting alight the dancefloor alongside French DJ Giom, who released his first track in 2006 on DJ Heather's Blackcherry Recordings and has quickly gained the support of some of the world's biggest underground House DJ’s, with Mark Farina, Diz and the Lawnchair Generals all showing support.

Meanwhile, deep house label run by Sascha Dive, ‘Deep Vibes’ will be making its dent on Room Three’s floor with Alix Alverez and Sasha Dive himself bringing you their statement sound that melds the groove of American shores with the empiricism of the European club scene.

La Belle Epoque. La Belle Epoque. Was On Saturday, September 25th. @ Shoreditch Studios, 29 New Inn Yard, EC2A, 8pm - 2am

Celebrating everything bohemian and debauched, La Belle Époque is a new event that recreates the absinthe-fuelled hedonism of 19th Century Paris and indulges the artistic side of partying. From the people who brought you The Blitz Party and Prohibition, La Belle Époque will take place in Shoreditch on Saturday 25th September 2010.

Shoreditch Studios will be transformed into a Montmartre music hall, designed to enrapture the soul and trick the mind. With velvet drapes, distorting mirrors and silent art-house films, the venue’s many alcoves and stages will evoke the wild and bizarre vibe of the absinthe bars of Fin de Siècle Paris.

Circus performers and sideshow freaks will melt into the corseted crowd, entertaining guests with time-honoured trickery and unimaginable feats, while aerialists and trapeze artists twist and turn from the ceiling.

Throughout the evening, expert absintheurs will be on hand to guide guests through centuries-old sugar cube and fire techniques, introducing beginners to the delights of the green fairy. Channelling their inner Degas and making like Baudelaire, guests will be encouraged to create art throughout the evening: whether by reciting poetry, indulging in absinthe-induced ravings, or philosophising outside over a Gauloise.

Both live bands and DJs will play an eclectic mix of music inspired by the diverse and original sound that has emerged from the streets of Paris’s red-light district.

The evening’s dress code is Choleric Courtesan or Tortured Artist. Men should emulate Toulouse Lautrec’s diminutive style and cultivate the ‘starving in a garret’ look; think moustaches and paint-splattered smocks. For the bourgeoisie at heart, tuxedos, top hats and tails will make for a decadent and dashing alternative. Ladies should go for big hair, feathers and risqué hemlines – and, if possible, try to squeeze into a corset.

Hi there, it is us again wanting to share music with you!! ....another Toi Toi.... we are very pleased to welcome Mr. Chris Lattner (Moonharbour / Fear of Flying) flying in from Berlin to bring you a very diverse night alongside a very talented bunch from London's new breed of quality producers.

CHRIS LATTNER (Moonharbour / Fear of Flying)

Chris Lattner has a career which goes back 20 years, do we need to say more? His dedication to music is of an impressive scale. In spite of that Chris is one of the nicest and humblest individuals we know, caring and giving and adorably THAT german, precise and agile, a perfectionist, that certainly explains his music career success! For this Toi Toi's edition we have asked Chris to write all of us a little note, here it goes:

"I am really happy that you invited me and that you want me to share my music with you.
London is the spot to be in house music for me at the moment. Everytime I play
here I feel the old vibe when we made our first house parties. All about music….
And thats what I will bring you on the 24th of September … pure fun with decent house music….not more and not less!!!!
Looking forward to see you all and thank you for your support, here is little something for you to listen to prior to the event, enjoy it !! "

Chris Lattner

BLM (FEAR OF FLYING / SUDDEN DROP)

Why did we choose him?

Young Ben Micklewright is a very quiet person but if you listen to his productions you could never say that, he has a very mature signature sound with a complexity that is far from shy! Co-founder of Fear of Flying Ben has already acquired recognition from masters in the electronic music industry, the lead on the label brings a conceptual take on musical and cultural knowledge. The latest release on the label brings nobody less than the old-school legend Schatrax on a re-release of 'Champagne Dancer' from 1998.

SOHO (PHONICA / KAILASH)

Why did we choose him?

In spite of being a very good friend and fellow restless worker for the London underground scene, SOHO is a walking encyclopedia of quality house music. Working at London's renowned record store PHONICA he always has his hands on very well selected dancefloor bombs.

We chose him because we have seen him playing a dozen times and he delivers amazing sets nonstop within his very distinctive style. Playing vinyl ONLY makes him certainly stand out in this digital times.

MARK CHAMBERS (LEFTROOM / SERIALISM)

Why did we choose him?
Having experiences Mark's several sets around London we can say that the music he plays is of very strong and capturing elements which surrounds a dance floor grabbing people with the ability to tell a story from beginning to end. Production wise Mark has successfully released on Leftroom and now has just joined Cesare vs Disorder's family on Serialism.

CLAUS VOIGTMANN (TOI TOI MUSIK RESIDENT)

Claus is spinning his way through London's most respected clubs/parties and with his very own attitude towards a relentless research and passion towards new music knowledge he is working on his very own style.
